We have an incredible menu for you on New Year’s Eve. This will also be an a la carte menu just like our Noche Buena which was a huge success at Purple Yam (although some of our regulars missed the prix fixe menus of previous years).
We have VERY fresh oysters that will be delivered to Manhattan on Dec 30 from Walrus and Carpenter Oysters Community-Supported Aquaculture (CSA) grown in the pristine waters of Ninigret Pond, Charlestown, RI that Romy will place on a bed of freshly squeezed pomegranate ice. We will reprise our Lechon Duroc pork belly with crispy skin and melt in your mouth meat and our pork shank osso buco which won many hearts during our Thanksgiving dinner. Other choices: squab, pan seared scallops and Pedmontese Beef in Brunei curry. Cap the night with Champagne (we offer Joel Falmet Brut and Guy Lamandier Brut, NV) along with that chocolate souffle.
But best of all, we look forward to seeing many of our friends from all the years of celebrating the holidays at Cendrillon in SoHo. So many good memories of toasting the bubbly to welcome the new year!

Pork Shank Osso Buco. We served this during Thanksgiving and some of our friends have been dreaming about this ever since.
Sweet Potato and Taro Gratin. One of my fave side dishes to be served with the grilled peppered squab.
Let’s all raise a toast to welcome 2012 and hope that this really is the start of better times for the country and all our friends wherever they may be.
Happy New Year to all our friends and loved ones! Hope to see all of you soon!
